Aadab, kya haal hai janab ke? 😉
Since this article is inspired by The Mughal Era and their aesthetic sense, Let me share with you, my take on decoding the Angarakha Style! For us Indians, occasions are all about colors and warmth, and this particular outfit from Sheetall Nahata Couture symbolises exactly what I am talking about. A purely traditional Yellow Angarakha blouse in Zari work and sheer tulle to match up with today’s sartorial sense. The lehenga, in bright pink with gold embroidery work in the authentic chand figure, embellished with pearls gives it a Midas touch. The gold sequins border in the lehenga give your eyes a jazzy flash just enough to highlight it! I love how Sheetall has used the brightest of colors in contrast while making them look so regal in every way possible. With no hassles in wearing accompanied with feathery and breathable fabric, I give full points to this traditionally stylish ensemble.
Styling the Angarakha
It comes with a dupatta, which according to me, is an option. The angarkha-lehenga in itself is complete and so vibrant that it might out do the need of any dupatta. As you can see in my pictures, the out fit looks equally enticing, with/without the dupatta. However, the dupatta is a pretty one in pink with bright borders and could be worn in a way which doesn’t mess up with the look of the Angarakha blouse. In addition, I wore a pair of sparkling chand-balis studded with stones and pearls to match up with the theme of the outfit. Since the blouse is designed in a wide neck pattern, I decided to not mess the gorgeous neckline with any jewelry . Furthermore, it has full sleeves so the need for any bracelets/bangles seems nil. Hence, I wore some pretty stone studded rings.

Hair & Makeup
To give it a fresh appearance we went ahead with soft curls on open hair. The makeup is very warm and vibrant in shades of pink and peach. For that glow we did some highlighting on the cheeks and used a soft pink lipstick. My cousin, Meera Hindocha did the makeup and hair for me. She’s a very talented artist and I absolutely love her style of work! She was easy going and fast with her craft and it was an absolute delight working with her!
Here’s how you can get in touch with her on Facebook and Instagram.
Behind the Camera
Debasish Bohidar is the magician, whose talent and creativity is clearly visible in the pictures. He’s a fabulous photographer, well-known for Wedding and Fashion Photography in Hyderabad. He was amiable and guided me well through the entire shoot and it was great working with him.
I’m sure you might wanna have a look at more of his work. Here’s where you need to click Fashion Crew & SutraSnapperz.
Location courtesy
We preferred shooting it at Aish, The Park, because the whole theme of this shoot was royalty. It’s one of the most luxurious and classy hotels in Hyderabad. This magnificent hotel serves really good Nizami cuisine and the ambiance speaks for itself. Mirrors, crystal chandeliers, impressive cutlery and crockery & their most efficient and hospitable staff are sure to give you the feel of the Nizami Era!
Hope you a good time with me.
