Hope & pray everyone’s doing well! So how does your Diwali festival look so far? Hope it is not as crazy as mine because, as always, all things come together for me in the nick of time. I’ve been juggling between house cleaning, cooking, work & shoots, rounds to my tailors for our festive outfits and to top it off my little one is under the weather! Could it get any worse? However, amidst all this chaos I’ve managed to take some time out and put together these three looks for this Diwali i.e. Diwali Looks 2019.
Not wasting a lot of your time, let’s quickly head to the first look that I’ve created:
Buddies Wali Diwali
If you’re planning a to host Diwali party for your friends then make sure you put your best foot forward with this mesmerizing combination of Jewellery & Sharara!
This is one of the prettiest necklaces I’ve ever worn. I am a big fan of Jadau sets from Alankrith Jewellers owing to their chunky appearance which gives a very rich feel. I can’t get over the gorgeous florets that have been arranged symmetrically to sit just right around my neck. To give you some details about the gems – English uncut Diamonds have been used along with Emerald beads and the lustrous pearls that you can see are South Sea pearls which are really rare to find. If you look at the studs, they are just like one of the florets from the necklace. The beauty of these studs lies in the fact that you can also wear them for your regular days on a pretty Kurta or Salwar and take your OOTD game a notch higher.
You must visit their store for because it’s their anniversary celebrations and they have some really good deals and offers for all. You can use code Esha to avail of a free Diamond gift, ain’t it super cool?
Outfit & Makeup:
Coming to the outfit, I can’t tell you in words how much I loved this Sharara from Neerus. The moment I saw this I was like- My Diwali Party look is sorted. I am sure you ladies must eyeing on this outfit too! It is a very elegant dress in a self-design off-white kurta with matching sharara and dupatta. The borders of the entire outfit have been embellished with mirrors to give it that proper Diwali look. For the Makeup, it was very festive- highlighted cheekbones, nose & forehead. Neat and bright eye makeup and matte nude lip-shade just to neutralize the bling. I got my hair blow-dried and parted them from the middle to keep in simple and desi.
Diva ki Diwali
The reason behind visiting Alankrith Jewelers is that they have more than 25 years of experience and good will to their name in the business of Fine Jewelry. Purchasing Diamonds can be tricky, if you look at them as an investment then you should be sure of the quality else it can turn out to be a tough task re-selling it. The shape, color, grade, carot weight and finish matter a lot when it comes to Diamonds and to my surprise the range at Alankrith Jewelers starts only at Rs.3000/-.
When I was shopping at Alankrith jewelers(Himayath Nagar), I came across this very subtle yet magnificent piece of creativity. This necklace might give a solitaire kind of appearance but actually it is a very intricate and invisible setting of Diamonds in White Gold. This speaks volumes about the kind of jewelry they have in store for us! The studs for this necklace are pretty similar but I wanted to add a bit to glamour to this look and hence opted for these beautiful flower-shaped studs from their Maligrow collection. So for those of you who like the minimalist jewelry look, fret not! They have a stunning range of pendants, chains, and earrings which is inspired by Italian art of jewelry making. You needn’t always invest in heavy and chunky jewelry for your Diwali purchases, Maligrow collection surely makes a good option if you are looking for a lightweight, affordable and daily wear jewelry.
I am a woman of instinct, I made up my mind that I definitely will be wearing this necklace for one of the Diwali Looks 2019 but I didn’t want my outfit to over power the beauty of this pretty necklace. Hence, I looked for some outfit that matches up to the contemporary style that I wanted to portray; and the rest is here! I found this stylish Dhoti set for the Divas who do not like to be tamed in salwars or lehengas. In contrast to the reds and greens that most ladies wear during festivals, I created this look with an Olive Green Dhoti set to give a new perspective to Diwali Looks 2019. So, the outfit is basically a spaghetti Blouse with a stylish dhoti and a beautiful floor-length cape. Now, my problem with capes is usually the cut, it almost covers the look of the main garment but this one is pure love! It’s stitched so perfectly that it naturally enhances the blouse and dhoti appearance.
The Makeup is a smudged olive green eye shadow, brown lip shade, and hair tied into a pony to make it look sleek and crisp.
Family wali Diwali:
Now that we’ve covered 2 looks from the Diwali Looks 2019, it’s time for the 3rd and most important look- Family look!
While I do agree that contemporary outfits are more comfortable and stylish, but there is a soft corner in my heart for proper Indian outfits. There’s a lot of western influence that reaches our wardrobes and we hardly get to dress up in our lehengas and sarees. But for festivals, I surely make it a point to wear them because I feel that beings in a lot of authenticities to the entire occasion.
I really wanted to wear this beautiful Diamond choker adorned with Rubies. I love chokers that are soft around the neck and this one is just perfect. It’s an exquisite necklace designed with Emerald beads and pendants of Diamonds placed distinctly with hanging south sea pearls. If you notice the Earrings, they are pretty Jhumkis made of Emerald beaded chains left loose under diamond settings.
Just the way, those rubies bring a tinge of red to the Emerald Choker, my Dupatta in fuchsia Pink brings a tinge of color to the Brown Lehenga that I bought from Neerus. The lehenga is a very simple one with Golden prints for that glittery touch, comes with a matching blouse and a completely contrast dupatta . The best part about this Lehenga is the flair, it’s so beautiful but at the same time it’s very comfortable to wear!
For the Makeup we did dark eye shadow to match up with my lehenga, bright pink lips to keep the freshness intact and let my curled hair loose for extended elegance.
Now this is what I call the Grand Diwali look for all your Diwali Milans and fam jams!
