Easy recipe for Samo | Bhaggar | Moriyo
1/2 cup samo rice soaked for 30 mins
2 tbsp ghee
1 tbsp peanuts
1 tsp cumin seeds
2 slit green chilies
1tsp ginger paste
1 tsp sendha salt
1/2 tsp black pepper powder
1 medium sized potato finely chopped
1/2 cup grated bottle gourd
coriander leaves for garnishing.
In a kadhai, take the Ghee and roast Peanuts. Then add Cumin Seeds & let them crackle along with Curry Leaves. Add slit Green Chillies and Ginger Paste and let saute for a while.
Then add the Potatoes and let cook for 5 mins, slowly add the grated Bottle Gourd and saute for some time until half cooked. Rinse the soaked samo well and add to kadhai. Add about 1 glass of water along with salt & pepper powder and let cook on low flame for 10-15 mins with lid on it.
Garnish with coriander leaves and serve with Curd / Farali aloo curry.

Fasting is tough at times, but with such recipes it will definitely get easier. Samo hardly takes any time to prepare and is extremely filling. When combined with potatoes and bottle gourd, it tastes even better. Remember to eat it while its hot!
